Yes, you can opt out of Sheridan’s health insurance plan if you already have equivalent or greater coverage via another plan. 

Please visit StudentCare for more information and instructions on how to opt-out. Please note that you can only opt out during the Change-of-Coverage Period.

International Students

Yes, you can opt out of Sheridan’s health insurance plan if you can provide proof of valid OHIP coverage. 

Students with valid OHIP coverage may be eligible to opt out before the start of the term. For details on the process, please email askanadvisor@sheridancollege.ca or visit the Service Hubs on campus.
