When: Arrive 1.5 hours before your Convocation Ceremony to ensure you have sufficient time to check in, receive your gown and assemble for the procession.
If you are late: Graduating students who arrive late will not be able to enter Convocation Hall in procession with their class. Graduates who arrive after the ceremony start time will not be permitted to cross the stage. Do not arrive late.
Where: Hall 5 at The International Centre, 6900 Airport Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 1E8 – Parking is free.
Your Checklist:
- Download, screenshot, or print out your GradPass from Tassel. This ticket is required to receive your gown and allows you to cross the stage.
- Email your guest tickets from your Tassel account and distribute them to your guest(s) prior to the ceremony. Use the link provided in your Convocation Invitation email to update and access your tickets.
- Leave all personal belongings with your guests or place them securely in the trunk of your locked car. Sheridan is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.
- Children are not permitted to site with graduands. Children over the age of 3 require a ticket to attend the event. All children must be supervised by another adult other than the graduand.
Day of Ceremony Schedule:
- Go to the Robing Room to check-in and pick up your gown.
- Assemble in the Staging Room as directed.
- Processional of graduands occurs 15 minutes before the ceremony starts.
- The Ceremony Hall will open for guests 30 minutes before the ceremony.
- Convocation ceremonies will be broadcast live.
- A video clip capturing your moment on stage will be emailed to you from Stage Clip approximately one week after your Convocation Ceremony.
- Be respectful of your classmates and remain in your seat for the duration of the ceremony. Celebrate together as alumni until the conclusion.
