How will my classes be delivered remotely?

Some courses may be synchronous, which means students are expected to be online at a specific time on a specific day each week. The specific time and date will be mentioned on your timetable. Your instructor will provide you with further direction on when & how to log in each week through SLATE.

Another type of learning is asynchronous, which means students will be expected to do the readings, participate in online conversations, and complete assignments on their own time by a specific date set by the instructor. There will be no set date or time to attend the class. It is the student’s responsibility to monitor the material posted on Slate and complete the work done by the deadlines set by the instructor. More information will be provided to students during their first week of classes. If you see a course displayed underneath your timetable and not within it, the course is held asynchronously.
