Preference for admission requirements BSc vs non-science applicant for Respiratory Therapy
  • Someone who has completed a Science degree would have, in theory, met the minimum high school requirements. However if they have taken a higher level of those requirements in their degree, they would consider those marks. (e.g. they got a low mark in a high school course but a high mark in a subsequent post secondary course.)
  • Someone applying with a non-science degree still must meet the minimum high school requirements to apply.
  • The chances of a non-science applicant having any transfer credit within their non-science degree is lower. This just means if they were offered a seat, they would have to most likely take all the courses, rather than getting possible transfer credit. (usually they might have at least 6 credits of ENGL classes in most degrees).
