LPNS are followed up by BSN after they apply to assess them for eligibility for a year 2 year. 

All LPNs will be offered conditional acceptance based on completion of:

• 1600 practice hours as LPN, unless approved by Associate Dean
• BIOL 1693 (theory A&P only, lab not necessary)
• ENGL 1100
• Current license preferred but will be assessed on case-by-case basis if not licensed.

1st year seat applicant

If an applicant applied for a 1st year seat, they need to be made aware they are withdrawing from their 1st year seat to accept the 2nd year seat offer. If they don’t meet the conditional acceptance criteria, they will go on the waitlist for a 1st year seat. Students should be made aware that if they go on the waitlist for 1st year seat, there is no guarantee that they will be accepted.

2nd year seat applicant

If an applicant applied for the 2nd year seat only, and they don’t meet the conditional acceptance criteria, they unfortunately will not get a seat. Encourage everyone to apply for a 1st year seat with the general pool, so that we can offer to waitlist them for a 1st year seat again if they don’t meet the criteria.

We will accept:

• Good Samaritan Canada Letter of Portability
• BCCNM screenshot of practice hours  
• Employer Records

Progression:

Check-in monthly from SON on progress meeting conditional acceptance criteria
