- For trade students, it's advisable not to apply directly but to email admin@truresidence.ca to inquire about availability as it is on a case-by-case basis. No specific rooms are allocated for trade students, so they must email their program dates to be considered for a shortlist. Trades students can request a housing preference when they reach out to them and they will consider that, but ultimately, it will be based on when and where they have availability.
- All TRU residence buildings permit auto-shut-off appliances. Specifically, McGill and North Tower as they don’t have cooking units within the suite.
- The gender-inclusive option for McGill housing is included on the housing application when they apply. Students who are interested only need to indicate so on the application.
- North Tower, McGill & Coyote Den have secured bike storage.
- Coyote Den primarily offers shared rooms, with only 13 singles available on a case-by-case basis.
- Starting in September 2024, East Village buildings D & E will be designated for family housing.
