3 pathways for deferrals for Open Programs:
- Students who applied, but have not completed their application or accepted their seat:
- email admissions@tru.ca to change their start date
- they can defer for up to 2 semesters (eg. originally applied for Summer 2022 > can defer to Fall 2022 or Winter 2023)
- Students who have accepted their seat but not taken any courses:
- if they have already registered in courses, they need to drop their courses for the semester first
- email admissions@tru.ca to change their start date
- they can defer up to a full year or for any of the next 3 semesters (eg. originally applied for Summer 2022 > can defer to Fall 2022 or Winter 2023 or Summer 2023)
- Continuing students who are TRU students and have taken courses already
- no action needed
- they will be active for 3 terms from the semester with the last classes they took before they are inactivated and need to reapply to the program
