Use the course-to-course search on the BC Transfer Guide to see if there is a transfer agreement for Course A from Institution X to Institution Y. If there is a transfer agreement for Course A from Institution X to Institution Y listed on the BC Transfer Guide, you will get transfer credit.
If there is no transfer agreement listed, you may still get transfer credit. Once you apply to Institution Y, you can arrange for your transcript to be reviewed for transfer credit. You will need to submit the official course outline from the institution and the course outline (also called a syllabus) from when you took the course, so the institution you’re applying to can decide if the course(s) you’ve taken are similar to the ones in the program you are applying to.
