What is unassigned credit?

If an institution does not offer an equivalent course to the one that you took, you may receive “unassigned credit” instead of credit for a specific course. Unassigned credit is also called general or indirect credit.

Examples of what unassigned credit looks like on the BC Transfer Guide and on academic transcripts:

First year or level

course in Math

MATH 1st, MATH 1XX, or MATH 1XXX

Second year or level

course in Anthropology

ANTH 2nd, ANTH 2XX, or ANTH 2XXX
