1. Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC) (NRPH)

Free home-visiting program that assists expectant mothers and new parents who need more support. The number of visits and the length of each visit depends on individual needs. 

2. Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) (NRPH)

A free home visiting program to support young mothers with first-time parenting and pregnancy up until two years of child age. Eligibility: under 25 years of age, less than 28 weeks gestation at time of enrollment and first-time parenting. 

3. Prenatal Appointments with a Public Health Nurse (NRPH)

Book a one-on-one appointment with a public health nurse to discuss any questions related to pregnancy, becoming a parent and/or taking care of your baby. All support people are welcome to attend. Although our in-person appointments are postponed until further notice, we are still offering phone and video call support. If you would like to book an appointment, register below. Registration is only available once you have reached 12 weeks in your pregnancy. Your appointment will be booked between 18-24 weeks in your pregnancy.

4. Prenatal Learning (online) (NRPH)

Prenatal online education is available for Niagara residents. Sign up for an online learning system that you can complete at a time and place convenient to you.

5. Cognitive Behavioural Group (CBT) for Depression/Anxiety (NRPH)

Pregnant and new parents with babies up to 18 months of age, who have been feeling depressed, down or anxious may be eligible to participate in a group-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) program. During this nine-week series you will meet weekly in a virtual group setting with a public health nurse to learn skills, strategies and tools to help manage depression and anxiety. A workbook is provided to help you record your goals and progress. A public health nurse will contact you by text/phone within 2-3 business days to go through a screening form to confirm if the group will meet your needs and has space available before sending you the information to participate.

6. Infant Feeding Appointments with a Public Health Nurse (NRPH)

Book a one-on-one appointment with a public health nurse with breastfeeding/chestfeeding expertise to discuss questions or concerns about feeding your baby. This may include breastfeeding, chestfeeding, establishing breastmilk supply, or providing expressed breastmilk to baby. Our nurses will provide individualized support to meet your needs and help you achieve your infant feeding goals. All support
